Fire and Rescue:  There was one call.  There were a few other calls that were cancelled.  P. Bonin is currently holding a fire department meeting at the same time as the board meeting, so he excused himself to attend the fire meeting.  On May 31st there will be the annual fire fighters’ training with instructors.  They will practice tearing apart cars. Also, attended Chief’s meeting.

Road and Bridge:  Appearance o.k. so far.  Late snow out and late thaw.  Upper corner on Skou Road by transformer will need repair.  R.  McKeever will get with Floyd Johnson to decide how to approach the repairs.

Cemetery:  no new business.  Fire department asked to be called when need water tank filled.  No apparent erosion of gravel out of the driveway and onto the Cramer.

  1. Martinson mentioned that there has been some discussion surrounding whether or not Planning and Zoning should waive permit fees. Would this help the permitting process? General opinion of the board is that the permitting process and approval process itself is what needs improving.  Requires better communication with builders and residents.
  2. McKeever announced that the Lake Cook County Township will have their meeting at Schroeder Hall on October first at 6:00 PM. Schroeder will feed the attendees.
  3. McKeever asked to revisit the idea of limiting a person to a fixed amount of time in which to present their views. He added that they should be allowed to continue their thoughts (or a rebuttal) at a later time. B. Martinson reminded board that a time limit does exist in the records of Schroeder Township.

McKeever moved to adjourn at 8:02P.M. D. Johnson seconded. Meeting adjourned.

Respectfully submitted,

G. Ring

Asst. to Township Clerk
