      Minutes for Regular Board Meeting of December 12, 2017

Present: Supervisors, Bruce Martinson, Tina McKeever, Rick Anderson; Clerk Doug Schwecke; Treasurer Carla Menssen                                                                                                       Absent: Fire Chief Phil Bonin, Commissioner Storlie, Deputy Clerk Gale Ring,

The meeting was called to order by B. Martinson at 7:05 PM.

T. McKeever moved to approve the agenda as amended. R. Anderson seconded. Motion carried.

T. McKeever moved to approve the minutes of Nov. 14, 2017 regular meeting as presented. R. Anderson seconded. Motion carried.

Treasurer’s Report: Treasurer Carla Menssen reported-Receipts for November totaled $1,383.88. Disbursements totaled $7,606.51. The ending checkbook balance, as of Nov. 30, 2017, was $73,833.81, and a Total Balance of $218,771.30. T. McKeever moved to approve the treasurer’s report as presented. R. Anderson seconded. Motion carried.

R. Anderson moved to approve claims for checks #4221-4233 in the amount of $2,843.19. T. McKeever seconded. Motion carried.

The Lodging tax debit slip for September in the amount of $5,815.52, was approved and signed.

Fire & Rescue: Charlie Muggley reported that everything is on schedule to transfer fire relief to PERA on Jan.1. Fire meeting was last night, with everyone but Fire Chief Bonin in attendance.

Road and Bridge: Rick reported that the lease for MN Power maintenance building is now ended, LP tanks have been switched and locks removed. He talked to Karl about plowing the parking lot to make sure the fire doors are kept open. Dave Rude will tie into the septic power line to get a working outlet to plug the plow truck into.

Cemetery: nothing

Recreation: nothing

Maintenance: nothing

Other Business: Nothing new with TSSSD. No nominations for RAMS board. Discussed Dyers Lake access. B. Martinson moved to request that Cook County, being the owner of Dyers Lake Road to the waters edge, move forward with a cooperative agreement with the DNR to provide a concrete ramp and new dock for access to Dyers Lake. After further discussion, B. Martinson withdrew his motion to first get an opinion at the annual meeting.

Commissioner Storlie: Ginny was not able to attend but reported with an email that the levy was approved this morning by a 3-2 vote. It is an increase of 17.5% over last year.

Correspondence: Sent– gravel pit CUP renewal, letter in support of maintenance building lease by Cook County highway department.

Received  census survey
