Road and Bridge:  Signage.  Township needs to order stop signs.  Need a stop at end of Fredenburg Road.  R. Recreation:  no new business.  Port-a-let at Baraga Cross Park and Ball Field port-a-let to be placed this week.  Ice still on lake so too early to put dock in. Karl has clamps to hold dock firmly.

Maintenance:  Clerk D. Schwecke found a store that sells flagpoles and found one similar to the one found in the catalog for a lot less money.  He can bring it up.  Board agreed to ask D. Schwecke to purchase pole and transport to town hall with thanks.

Miron gave an update on the progress on Father Baraga Cross.  Brought along the story boards displaying the landscape architect’s vision of what the park could become of a five year or more plan.  Working on receiving grant money.  Asked for a grant of $10,000.00 to finish design work.

.Welcome Walls.  Put in for permit to work on welcome walls.  Tom Jacobson of MNDOT will look for sources for free wood mulch or chips.  Can supply us with safety vests and safety road signs.  Will check with law enforcement about having an empty squad car or some other warning to motorists to slow down.  Will have individuals call residents of Schroeder to work on walls on a day.  Need to work on follow up.  Asked if fire dept would water in case of dry periods.  They will.
